THE GOOD NEWS

The familiar word "gospel" means "good news".  The good news is that Jesus Christ came to provide a sure salvation for all who will trust in His name.  It is amazing that God has revealed His love and grace by sending His Son on a mission of life which could be accomplished only through His death.  Because man is a sinner and comes short of the glory of God, he is guilty and condemned before God.  He needs a Savior.  Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners.  He died in our place to remove our sins and shed His blood to satisfy the justice and righteousness of God.  Salvation is a gracious gift of God, offered freely and universally to all men.  All men do not believe, but those who accept Christ shall be saved.

The day of eternal judgement is coming.  We do not know when, but we are sure that God will keep His promise to reward His people for their faith in Christ.  Likewise, He will punish sinners for their rebellion and disobedience.  The Scriptures affirm that "behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation."  If you have scoffed at the salvation which God offers, rejecting the tremendous sacrifice of His Son, we pray that God will open your eyes to see the truth revealed in God's word.  He sent His Son to die for us to remedy our sinful condition and make us acceptable in His sight.  We urge you to seriously consider your need for Christ.  May God give you the spirit of knowledge and understanding concerning His Son and graciously draw you to Christ in a powerful and efficient manner that you might be saved.

If you have already received Christ, we encourage you unto continued growth and sanctification.  Christians need to dedicate their lives to the Lord and serve Him mightily in these troubled times. Dear Christian, do not surrender to your passions and fleshly desires which war against the soul.  Rather, remember that we are strangers and pilgrims in this world.  As the song says, "This world is not my home, I'm just'a passing through...".  We should honor the Lord with everything we have.  We must love Him with all of our mind and soul and strength and might.  One day soon, all of our trials will be over.  We shall then see our Savior face-to-face.  We shall know even as we are known.  Faith will become sight and hope will become reality.  May God bless and keep you in His grace and love through Jesus Christ.
